HAWAI’I ISLAND PUBLIC ACCESS ROOM WORKSHOPS SET

Subject: PAR workshops on the Big Island

Good afternoon!

We’re scheduling our neighbor island workshops, and it looks like I’ll be on the Eastside of Hawaii Island the week of October 17th – 21st.

The workshop (“Your Voice”) is about an hour in length, and covers the Legislature and how to effectively participate in the legislative process. In addition, the workshops this year will be combined with an open ‘office hour’ for residents who may want to drop in to ask questions, pick up materials, or delve more deeply into specific areas.

I’m currently looking at scheduling workshops in Honokaa, Hilo, Pahoa, and Pahala or Ocean View. I may be calling to ask for your advice on suitable venues, and we’d really appreciate your help in getting the word out to your constituents once we get the workshops scheduled.

Would you please let your Representatives and Senators know that we’ll be visiting their district mid-October? I’m happy to add workshops for particular groups or deliver specialized workshops (following the budget, understanding conference committees, for example) as requested. Of course, if there’s another town you’d like me to add to the list, please let me know.

Thanks in advance for your help!

Aloha,
Virginia

Many supporters come out for Onishi 2016 Fundraiser

Aloha Friends and Supporters,

On behalf of my wife Joni and our entire Onishi family, I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart for a very successful fundraising event held tonight at Sangha Hall.

We were overwhelmed with over 200 friends, family and supporters that took time to come out and show support for my campaign re-election bid as your representative to the State House of Representatives, 3rd District.

Below you will see just a small snapshot of those who worked so hard to make this fundraiser a huge success and a few pictures taken of my supporters. (Please look at our website friendsforrichardonishi.com for a full complete picture story in the next week or so).

Aloha and mahalo nui loa,
